Combining autobiography with storytelling, international Fringe artist Lily E. Garnett explores self-image, social conditioning, and how society values people, particularly women. She showcases how she combats life’s daily battles by protecting herself with “war paint” of all kinds, and invites audiences to reflect on how they arm themselves for everyday quests as well. Because whether it’s through makeup, social media, or our language, humans are constantly trying to convince the world that we are perfect. Throughout the course of the show, it is revealed that it is actually our imperfections that make us strong, distinctive, and truly beautiful.
Hailing from Georgia originally, Lily is proud to have called Orlando home for the past 8 years. Lily fell in love with the Fringe circuit after having performed in Future Legend at the 2017 Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival and Lil Women: A Rap Musical at the 2018 Edmonton International Fringe Festival. She is thrilled and proud to share her debut, solo piece, War Paint.
